I really like to go camping and every few years I decide to replace my camping equipment with some new stuff, especially my tent because I know how important it is to have content that really will stand up to the weather. The last time I bought some camping gear I went online and did some research and eventually decided to take a look at some of the different models from Kelty Camping Tents, which really have a lot of advantages. It’s unlikely that the majority of people looking over this little paragraph will be involved with tough military combat in places that bug bites may have serious consequences, however the same formula can nonetheless be adapted to be used by civilians. This is due to additional thinking that went into developing this formula than simply the thought of producing the strongest insect repellents. Actually, there are more repellents available on the market that have a lot of the main active component, DEET, than Ultrathon does, but they’re less effective in dealing with bug bites during a period of a couple of hours.

If you are going camping soon, but don’t have all the gear you need, then you are in luck. You can get all the cheap camping gear you need and then you will be good to go. A lot of people worry that because the gear is inexpensive it must not be that great. However, that is not really an issue if you go with the good brands. Our family has been camping for around ten years. We have gone through a lot of tents. Some have been good , some not so good. A few we got a couple of season’s use out of but more often than not, a flap came off or a zipper broke. That would become a problem in the evening when the bugs would come out. The secret to a great tent is heavy duty zippers and a waterproof floor that is really waterproof.  Not something that just says so on the label. I think Coleman makes the best tents for our purpose.

It is not an easy task to survive wholly on food found in the wild unless of course your name is Bear Grylls or Ray Mears. But it is a great way to supplement your bought in food and produce. It is also especially fun if you are going camping with your family and have young children. If you are a keen hiker or like camping on foot then you will have to carry your tent in your rucksack. This can be a bit of a drag if you do not have a lightweight tent, believe me carrying a heavy tent on your back for several hours is no fun. So in reality your tent needs to be as light as possible. If there are two to three people sharing then the ideal solution is a semi-geodesic tent, this means that the tent uses three poles instead of the standard of four or five.

If you are quite tall then a tunnel tent could be a better option as they are more suited to height, but as they tend to be longer in length they are not freestanding and will have to be pegged out securely before you put it to use. This will mean you will need to carry more camping accessories such as tent pegs and mallet.
