When you first see the newer front loading washing machines, the drum looks much bigger than the drum on your old top load design. This is allusion is most likely due to the lack of an agitator in the middle of the drum, taking up space. This gives you more room to wash bulky items such as bed covers and pillows.
One of the biggest appeals of the front loader is the savings you will experience in your water use. The front load washer uses roughly half the water of our conventional top loading machines. With diminished use of water, less electricity is needed to heat the wash water. The water level doesn’t need to be very high for this design of washer to clean your clothes. The clothes are gently churned in and out of the water. It isn’t necessary to cover the wash load with water.
