Finding the best wheelchairs for a disabled dog

Posted by Sherrie,

Adjustable carts are a greater preference for dogs of a general breed kind mainly because they can be in shape by approximate size, then much more finely adjusted to suit the individual dog. These are good for older or sick dogs that may perhaps not get a long period of use from them. They are easier to resell or donate. Also, purveyors of custom carts may possibly be a distance from your household and very long trips for fittings can pressure an by now compromised puppy. Numerous carts permit you to include features as your dog’s disability progresses. Having said that, it is occasionally great to have a reasonable sum of pounds on the shoulders so that the canine builds and retains the strength in his front assembly. There is great line about how significantly counterbalancing is appropriate, so a customized fitted cart makes guaranteed you get the appropriate volume of counterbalance for the disability since it is fitted by an individual skilled in fitting disabled dogs.

Every Child Needs a Medical Id

When someone is in need of emergency service every minute matters. The doctors need as much information as they can get. Every child should have a Children’s Medical Id. This id card will tell the first responders and doctors vital information about the child. I have one for my child because he is diabetic and has asthma. He is on a variety of different medications that the doctors should be made aware of before treating him. The id makes me feel better about his condition and me not being around him all day. Each child should have their own id.

Monitoring with Medscope

Since my mother has decided that she wants to continue to live on her own even now that my dad has passed away, of course I am concerned for her safety. For the most part my dad did a lot of the work around the house and just knowing that they had each other to look after was comfortable for me. Now I am looking at Medscope as a way to help monitor her situation. Something that she can work on her own and so that I can have the comfort in my mind knowing that she can get help in an emergency.

My Neighbors Elderly Mother Shows Off Her New Scooter

I saw my neighbor with his elderly mother this morning. When I noticed that they were outside talking, I stopped over to say hello. My neighbors mother told me about her shopping trip yesterday to look at the various brands of Medical Scooters. She was using a Pacesaver scooter and said that she loved the smooth ride and easy to maneuver controls. My neighbor was about to take her back to her home and asked if I would assist him in placing the scooter in his conversion van. The scooter fit perfectly, and it was quite easy to get in the back doors.

How I disposed of my unwanted inheritance

Posted by Jona,

Recently my dear old Grandpa passed away, and while my siblings all got a cash inheritence I received the keys to his trusty old 4 wheel mobility scooter. Old was the operative word, as he’d been somewhat disabled for many years and pretty much lived on this old beast. God knows how many miles he racked up on it, or how many old ladies he’d chatted up while sitting astride it.

However I had absolutely no use for it, so I simply inserted a little ad in our local “Coffee News” – the free one page newsletter you find distributed to all the local restaraunts. Worked like a charm, sold to some old geezer the very first day
